Pentagon has awarded General Dynamics a $4.4 Billion Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS) contract, according to a company news release.  General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, was awarded the DEOS contract by the General Services Administration (GSA) in partnership with the Defense Department (DoD) and the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Philippine Army selects Sabrah light tank The Israeli company Elbit Systems has won a $196 million contract to produce and supply the Sabrah 105mm light tank based on General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS) tracked platform ASCOD 2 and wheeled platform Pandur II. According to Elbit, “The Sabrah light tank series is based on a tracked or wheeled platform, as part of Elbit Systems’ global cooperation with tier-one military platform manufacturers.”

U.S. Army soldiers exit their M1126 Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle. In a new video released by General Dynamics, the company has shown a new version of the Stryker infantry fighting vehicle, heavily armed with anti-air stinger missiles, a 30mm cannon and laser-guided Hellfire missiles, giving the vehicle an incredible superior weapons package. Called the “IM SHORADS,” (short for Initial Maneuver Short Range Air Defense) this variant of the Stryker would be able to provide air defence from low-flying enemy air threats including helicopters, UCAVs or ground-attack aircraft.

The Stryker’s manufacturer, General Dynamics Land Systems, has released new video footage of Interim Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense (IM-SHORAD) system test it carried out in cooperation with the U.S. Army earlier this year. Video posted on Twitter to show fire test of main armaments of IM-SHORAD vehicle, which includes Hellfire missiles, Stinger missiles and a 30mm cannon.

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), announced today it was awarded an IT system modernization contract by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). GDIT will provide worldwide engineering support to DIA’s core IT infrastructure to include system design, architecture, testing plans, and security accreditation.
